This update comes with some big news! Busy Buddy is now available in the Playdate Catalog! The Playdate Catalog allows for faster updates, pushed directly to your Playdate. However, I'll still make updates available on Itch.io for those who prefer this platform, bought it here already, or like the fact that it's $1 less here currently. I just figure that, with the reduction of features or timely updates, Itch.io users deserve a bit of a discount.

But that's not all! This update carries a few fun changes and the promise of what's to come. First, there's the obvious, a few new buddies for you to find. I hope you're not just skipping sessions to find them and instead are spending time using Busy Buddy to focus!

Second, there's a new rarity system in place. Some buddies will show up more often than others. This makes those that are ultra rare and require certain requirements to unlock especially hard to come by. More of those to come!

Third, there are under the hood improvements. You can now lock your Playdate to either pause the focus session or go on a break. If you don't want to use up your break time while your Playdate is locked, you can still pause using the Menu button. Improvements have been made to how all of this works to squash some bugs and improve reliability.

Finally, I'm setting up some new features to help track what buddies you've encountered. Some small changes in these updates will make keeping track of them in the app easier, making Busy Buddy more than just a productivity app, but a bit of a collection game as well. So stay tuned!
